We are looking for a poster design that can be adapted for multiple uses - 1/4 page brochure ads, web banners, A0-A4 posters, DL flyers, hand fans (yes really!) and others.
We would like to start with an A2 poster design which nails the feel that we're going for and then we can adapt it to the other formats.
In the past we have appealed to a slightly older demographic (40+) and we're looking to freshen up the poster image to try and get a younger audience in (whilst not alienating the current audience - they have money to pay after all). So, we're not looking for the 15-20yr olds - they wouldn't like us anyway - more like the 25-40's who are still cool.
The principle aim of the design is to make people stop and look at the poster so they then go and buy a ticket.
We'd love to see some modern typography and imagery. It needs to feel modern and cool, sophisticated and world class - but an event that is going to be a real party.
We don't want to go very urban - that would be selling something that we can't deliver - so no graffiti etc.
We would LOVE it if you could "cartoonize" the band - I will attach an example.
We do need to have the hero image as either the band (see photos attached) a cartoon version of the band, or some very striking, very cool imagery of a microphone/mouth/beatboxing.
Please be as creative as you like - we're looking for fresh ideas.
We will be advertising a show called "The Magnets" - the same as our name.
There needs to be space on the poster for information about the show such as times, location and quotes.
For the present time - please include the following information:
Title: The Magnets
Tag Line: "The All Singing and Beatboxing Worldwide Sensation"
" 'A sonic phenomenon you have to see and hear to believe' The Guardian (UK) "
" 'You will be gobsmacked!" The Adelaide Advertiser (AU) "
Please add in the following 5 star quotes
***** The Guardian (UK)
***** The Adelaide Advertiser (AU)
***** The Scotsman (UK)
***** Rip It Up (AU)
