Design a weird, creative poster for a female rapper

Razzlekhan

Razzelkhan is a female comedic rapper based in NYC. She’s often referred to as the “Versace Bedouin” or “The Crocodile of Wall Street” for her nomadic tendencies, flashy fashion, and business savvy.

Razzlekhan has always rooted for the underdog, and hopes her music will bring a voice to underdogs and misfits everywhere, especially in the Middle East. While her musical lyrics are often controversial and even cringeworthy, she fiercely believes that it’s important to voice different ideas and perspectives, even if they are unpopular.

Razzlekhan is heavily influenced by North Africa and East Asia, both of which places she formerly resided. Her style is an eclectic mix of modern and timeless—mixing surrealist concepts with bedouin style and trap culture.

Artists that have inspired and influenced Razzlekhan include: Die Antwoord, Awkwafina, Mickey Avalon, Tierra Whack, The Whitest Kids U’ Know’s Trevor Moore, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Princess Nokia, Busta Rhymes, Kid Cudi, Ratatat, Gorillaz, Tunisian composter Hedi Jouini, Cairokee, Oka and Ortega, , and various other musicians and artists from North Africa and Eastern Turkey/Kurdistan.

We are looking for a 24x36 poster design for an innovative outdoor advertising campaign. Because this is an outdoor campaign, the poster will need to be eye catching and attract attention from a distance, without being too crowded.

There are two main elements we want to incorporate, SEE ATTACHED IMAGES for examples.

1. Foreground image: A mix of HORROR and SEXY. ex. a scary animal head on a beautiful woman's body. Model in a gas mask, etc. Scantily clad woman holding a severed crocodile head.
2. Background: A surreal, dreamlike postmodern look, possibly incorporating geometric patterns.

We want to shock and arouse the audience simultaneously.

The poster design should incorporate:
1. A small version of the attached logo
2. The text RAZZLEKHAN as the headline
3. Spotify and Apple Music logos to indicate the artist's music can be heard there

Remember, this is a poster for an edgy music/lifestyle brand, so have fun, express yourself, and think unconventionally. No idea is too weird.

This is your chance to be a part of an international multi-channel marketing campaign.
This is just an initial test project - successful bids will find many opportunities for future work with our brands.

The design should be inspired by a counterculture/punk aesthetic, with elements of the surreal and macabre. A successful bid will draw inspiration from some of:
- "Zef" subculture and similar counterculture movements
- Ralph Steadman art and Gonzo
- Middle Eastern geometric patterns and Bedouin jewelry
- Absurdist, surreal imagery like Dali or Magritte

The design should reflect the core theme of CONTRAST and SUBVERSION of traditional norms with the unusual and macabre.

The image of a beautiful woman is juxtaposed with a grotesque taxidermied crocodile head. We're looking for that kind of surprising aesthetic that causes the viewer to do a double take, thinking WTF is this?
