UPDATE: Here are some updates/clarifications about my brief:
(I'm changing "Become What's Missing" to "Be What's Missing")
The idea I want to communicate is that the person you need to BE in order to accomplish something big/new/challenging is not who you are today... *that* person is missing, but if that person were present, it would make all the difference.
To accomplish this big/new/challenging thing, you need to BE a bigger/new/different version of yourself... "Be What's Missing" (instead of "Become What's Missing")
This missing version of you that you're trying to BE can feel like your pretending or being an imposter and that's why I'm calling it "the imposter gap".
In your design concept, could you explore how you might communicate the challenge of "filling the gap" with a bigger/new/different version of yourself... to BE what's missing?
In other words, please explore how your design concept would express "filling the gap", rather than "scaling/climbing/crossing the gap"?
I need an album cover for my podcast. The thumbnail image that will be instantly recognizable when seen next to the sea of competing podcast covers. In particular, the podcast cover should perform well at small sizes. The subtitle of the podcast is “Become What’s Missing” and touches on what it will take to fill “the Imposter Gap”.
The design should be simple, bold, graphic elements with typography (no photos). Ideally, the design will work in black & white as well as color (I tend to visualize a bold red/black/white theme… but that is not a requirement for the design.)
