We need a winning design for our 2009 catalog. We have been an industry leader in sample libraries and virtual instruments since 1986. We need a classy and sophisticated catalog for 2009.
Important Note (NEW): please submit your entries as flat covers, not 3D renderings of what the booklet will look like in real space. While it looks cool and all, we need to be able to compare one design to another quickly and easily.
Big Fish Audio
We are in need of a design for the cover of our 2009 product catalog. Since 1986 we have been an industry leader for music loops, music sample libraries, and virtual instruments. Our products have been featured in thousands of chart-topping songs, film scores, and television soundtracks. The title of the catalog is "Loops 2009"
The design should be eye catching, classy, and professional in its look. The title, "Loops 2009" should be prominent in the design so that it is the main focus of the catalog cover. The cover concept should not include any imagery of fish, but we'd like it to appeal to the professional side of the music industry. We are the largest sample library company in the industry and we need a catalog design that displays our stature in a sophisticated and classy way. The imagery can be semi-abstract and can incorporate musical themes, but we'd like to stay away from direct representations of instruments..
The following link will let you download some of our logos. Feel free to incorporate them into your designs. BFA Logos Link
The design can be created using any graphics program(s) you like, but we would like final delivery in PSD or PNG format, layered, at 300dpi. It will be used as the front cover for our 2009 product catalog. Dimensions are 8.5" x 11" with 0.25" (1/4") bleed.
- In some way, include one of the logos prominently.
- Needs to be 8.5 x 11.
- An abstract depiction of audio equipment is acceptable (although not required).
- No fish.
- No literal representations of instruments (but abstract depictions are ok).
- No musical notes or notation (e.g. cartoon clip art of musical notes).
