I am not really in favour of the open pitch process, especially on small budgets. What I would like to propose is a credentials pitch, where you show previous alcohol / spirit work and I will work one-to-one with a selected designer.
The job is to develop a premium whisky. What I am looking for is an understanding of the design language, especially around typography and iconography.
I understand that you may not have such work, so perhaps you could select a couple of existing packs where you think they have done a good job in terms of the above, and why.
Competitive set will include Chivas Regal, JW Black etc. (not the super premium single malts). We are not looking to reinvent the category, but rather play by the visual norms - we have a product twist which we will reveal once we have selected a designer.
Lets see what you've got!
