The wine this label design contest is for is the newest member of our Pure Paradise line. These wines consist of fruit wines made 100% from tropical fruits with no grapes at all. This particular wine is made100% from Passion Fruit.
We have been producing wines for about 5 years now. Up until now the design of all labels has fallen on myself, the wine maker. While we have had great response from our labels, even winning a state label association award for one, I feel that my artistic as well as technical abilities have reached their max.
So now it's time to let the pros step up and show me how it's really done.
-To see our current labels in use check out http://www.TheFloridaWinery.com to get an idea of our vibe. This doesn't mean you have to stick to what we've done, just use it to get an idea of the carefree, not to serious vibe we like to put into our wines.
-Any label most be able to catch the customers eye, convey to them that what is in inside the bottle is different and unique and worth trying.
-We are in a large tourist area, and a majority of our customers are from outside of Florida. That being said many of our wines are taken home as souvenirs, be sure to take this into account.
-The name Pure Paradise speaks volumes for the direction this label should take.
- If you're a graphic artist outside of Florida you have a distinct advantage in that you can look at this from the point of view of our main customer, a tourist, and give insight into what would make you purchase this while on vacation. What screams Florida and Tropical paradise to you?
-Looking at the one other wine in the Pure Paradise line, Mango, you will see the fruit used in the wine on the label. Using an actual Image of a Passion fruit is not necessarily required by could help in conveying the use of it in the wine. An actual picture of the fruit may be substitute for an illustration if it fits your design.
-Popular images associated with a Florida Paradise, think beaches, Palm Trees, and sunshine.
-The Pure Paradise mango label is a rectangle 6"x4". Most our current labels are plain old boring square or rectangle. Our printer has the ability to do die cut labels so be creative here.
-Current font used for Logo, Dirty Ego. Current font used for Pure Paradise, Amienne. Neither are required.
-Due to my lack of artistic ability the Pure Paradise, and FLorida labels have all used actual images of beaches, palms, and the fruit. This is not required. Feel free to use illustrations.
-If in doubt just remember, Florida, Paradise, Eye Catching, Passion Fruit, Unique, Enjoyable, Fun.
Being an alcoholic beverage there is plenty of required info. Be sure to leave space for this. We would like this to be a single label design, so be clever in positioning of location for the required info below.
