I think he is doing a great job. In my case, I needed to tell every detail and super clearly lay out the design concept, though I thought he kind of has the feel already for book design, as we had already a few projects together. After this, it went on very well. He is definitely talented. What I recognised that even if both do their bests, there are often minor (spelling or alike) mistakes that can take a lot of time to correct and this requires a lot of attention to details every single time. I appreciate him for being precise in file output, transparent with pictures and copyright, making through all these correction rounds, and in the end creating an amazing work.
