Millennial Margin is an online portal with resources from a series of platforms, which are geared toward building margin in personal finance while benefitting from the resulting lifestyle. It encourages one to not just accept the status-quo of building a livelihood without actually building a life. It is focused towards building margin, which is the space between what one is required to do and what one wants to do. It's a surplus of time and resources. It's the ability to make room for the things that truly matter. Unfortunately, the topic of margin is seemingly lost as society allures toward the fast-paced, high pressure, little to no real rest, hamster wheel of a lifestyle. In turn, one is overwhelmed by the pressure to have the thriving career, great relationships, a healthy lifestyle, while looking wealthy by having the newest cars and gadgets, and still giving back generously... but the challenge of MM is to actually be authentic in what is and is not important in life--rather than just trying to look the part on all fronts. Not superficially, but actually. Personal finance affects most, if not all of the aspects of one's life whether willing to accept it or not. It interferes in relationships, decision-making processes, level of risk one is willing to take, and the future goals and aspirations one may have. If one does not stand firm on creating and maintaining the margin necessary to live a full life, society will easily take that decision and make it. Being that the Millennial generation has differentiated greatly from the previous Gen-X, Baby Boomer, and Silent generations, this makes it ripe for a resource to help define margin. This in-turn assists in creating a plan of action to converge strengths, passion, and the ability to turn those into a livelihood, while not forsaking life itself.
