Two established, male lawyers formerly of large local firm. One is a corporate / transactional attorney; the other is a litigation attorney. We have fairly conservative (as opposed to “avant garde”) tastes, but not stuffy or boring. We are looking to build a brand image that is confident yet modest.
We represent business clients on business matters. We market to medium sized businesses in the Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts (south and east but exclusive of Boston). Our typical clients are start-up companies, real estate developers and condominium associations.
We are looking for a simple, clean and elegant -- “traditional” with modern twist. We prefer “modest” over “eye-catching -- something reminiscent of traditional, engraved stationary with a facelift.

No more than two colors; one color and/or varying shades of one color acceptable.
Logo, address and contact info should be on letterhead but address & contact info does not have to be at top of page
Combination and use of initials (“L” and “B”) encouraged, but not required. If used, they should not overpower the firm name.
Serif or non-serif ok.
Tagline either : "Attorneys at law" or "Legal and Business counsel"
We DO like: Font-centric design, White space, Using a vertical or horizontal line as a design element is acceptable but not required.
WE DO NOT Like: “scales of justice,” gavels, and similar graphics; Heavy design elements; White on color lettering; Dominating design elements/logos; Script writing; non-standard margins.
Graphics in selection of formats & editable for address changes, etc. Scalable logo for use in other materials. Winner to turn over all rights to design & provide all font specifications & files prior to payment ("work for hire” under copyright law)
