Right now I am looking for a single page website for the purposes of testing and analyzing the geek chic market. I want to advertise the fact that binaryclothing.com is new and will be a fully functional site in the near future catering to geek chic clothing, accessories, gadgets, etc.
However to keep folks from turning away, I want the main portion of the page to contain a "Contest". I plan to hold a weekly or monthly contest giving away items like a a tablet, thumb drive, some gadget, etc... I want the contest to capture a few pieces of information in a simple form 1) a visitor's email address and 2) participate in an on-page poll. The poll might ask the visitor "Which items are you most interested in?" - something simple. The purpose is to get their email address to notify them when the site goes fully live. No purchase is necessary to enter the contest.
This single page website can look like a mock storefront, but I’m open to any creative ideas.
At some point when we feel the market is ready, this one page site will be replaced with a full-fledged e-commerce site.
I'd like the contest to be the focus on the main page. I have a company logo that's currently in work that I will provide for inclusion into the website design by 9/24, but for now feel free to mock one up as a place holder. I'm looking for simple, clean, fun, and chic. I am open to any and all ideas when it comes to the layout, color scheme, etc...so be creative! And please contact me if you have any questions. This is my first time going through crowd sourcing so if my requirements are too vague or incomplete please contact me. Thank you.
