LA CASA DI GOETHE
Goethe's House is the only german museum in a foreign country. It is located in Rome, in the house where Goethe lived during his stay in the city. The museum houses a permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions as well as cultural events, presentations and conferences. It is not only a museum but a meeting place of art and culture.
The museum also houses a library and produces some publications.
The online presence of the museum aims to present the activity, to attract new visitors (individual or groups) to promote and sell publications.
museum visitors and institutional users
The home page should have references to all sections of the site. In order of importance these sections are as follows:
the museum (who we are - where we are)
events (presentations - exhibitions - conferences)
archive (newsletter, newspapers ...)
we need a field to register to the newsletter.
custom graphics/icons are welcome to indicate the different sections.
For each section should be a small text for stimulating reading later.
Both the home page and the inside pages are required to have a three level menu to navigate sections, categories, content. A search engine box will also be visible in all pages.
On the bottom of each page we must have contact information.
The site is multilingual, and then into each page we need the space for the "flags" (3)
We will require a layered .psd file as the final product (RGB). Do not mind if you use stock images, but please make sure you declare it.
About fonts: if you use verdana/arial or any largely supported font is ok. If you need to use othe fonts please consider that this will become html, so use one listed here: http://code.google.com/webfonts
The graphic design is to be completely new, but the site is useful for logo, graphics, the color theme, and some still images that will be integrated with new photos.
Goethe-Institut is somewhat related to Goethe's house. We like it because it's clear, you can find all info at a glance, but we dislike right colum photos (too much).
it's original. We like graphical work in general, we don't like moving text.
simple and clear. we like the big header.
WE DON'T LIKE:
too "old"... too much photos, not very ordered.
bad design, too much underlined text
