TrustMe.com provides a simple product that helps people avoid scams on Craigslist. People who use a trustme.com email address get the benefit of our knowledge of known scams with every email they receive. If we think an email is a scam, we prefix the subject with [Scam Warning] before forwarding the email to our user.
The product is small, easy to understand and simple to use. It just needs a new design now!
Everyone who uses Craigslist!
It's a huge market (over 600 million searches per month) so it's impossible to really describe the audience.
In other words, we need to address the "lowest common denominator". The very novice internet user. The people who are able to understand email, but not much more than that.
I have included several files with this project. WATCH THE VIDEO. I made it especially for this 99designs contest.
Do not edit the logo. I have included an Illustrator file for you to use.
I have also included screens shots of the 4 pages that I want redesigned along with a few other screen shots for the designers who want to earn bonus points.
All text that's rendered via HTML must use standard browser-independent fonts.
The winning designer will have the option to work with me for more pages after the contest is over.
Redesign the following 4 pages (screen shots in the zip file)
The text on this page doesn't need to change but everything else is game. Your new image must illustrate and highlight the two items that we're highlighting now. I can't wait to see what you do with this page, it's really important to our conversion numbers.
2) How It Works
The text on this page doesn't need to change. We need to show that our system sits between our users and people on Craigslist so that they understand how we fit into the Craigslist workflow that they're already familiar with.
3) Sign Up (aka "Try It!" lightbox)
This page is very small and simple. Simpler is better, we need people to submit this form! It's the most important page on the entire website.
4) Account Home (responding to Craigslist form, with success/error messaging)
Use your redesign of this page to show me how to display all the elements of a form:
- required field indicators
- fields (radio, text, textarea, etc.)
- helper bubbles (bubbles that appear when the cursor enters a field)
- error/success messages
- whatever else you think I need!!
I like the logo.
I like the words.
Everything else needs your help.
