NumberCruncher
NumberCruncher is the leading provider of inventory and order management software for the QuickBooks community. We provide innovative, scalable, and cost effective solutions for manufacturers and wholesale distributors. Our solution handles everything from inventory control and production management to order fulfillment.
This contest is to redesign only the home page of the website. Additional work may be rewarded to the winner for other pages on the site. We are looking to update our web site with a fresh, clean web 2.0 design.
Our current website is:
http://www.numbercruncher.com/
Here is our main competitor; they have a nice design with good marketing. It should give you a good idea of what we are looking for since we offer similar software, an online demo, a free trial, and a tour of the solution just like them:
Our software is B2B and our customers are small to medium sized businesses that use Quickbooks and need better control over their inventory. We want to attract any Quickbooks using company that distributes, manufactures, assembles or just manages inventory!
-We like the color scheme on the current site but it can be tweaked and brightened up. New colors can be tried as well if you are feeling adventurous!
-The logo will stay the same, although we would like it to be tweaked and given an updated look if possible.
-The Quickbooks Gold Developer logo should be above the fold on the page. Generic Quickbooks logos can also be used throughout the site.
-The header should include the main navigation with the same links as the current website. It should also have language stating “We Solve Quickbooks Inventory Problems” and a graphic calling users to see a demo of the product. It should also include our phone number and a link to login.
-The main body should have a slideshow, some additional, complimentary static graphics, and an area for SEO below it, but before the footer. For more specific details on what we are looking for read this: http://75.126.171.18/pub/design_details.txt
-The footer should have columns with various links with the last columns having graphics for twitter/facebook.
-The page should be taller rather than wider, like most new designs for companies offering software & professional services. We want it to be clean and well spaced. Nothing too crowded.
-The design should be delivered as a layered .PSD file ready to be converted into a tableless HTML & CSS that adhere to current web standards.
