MomoCon is first and foremost an event. Because it is an unusual event, we have to let our pictures do more of the talking. And we have a lot of pictures, which you can see and use the ones located here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B…WRwMERobmM
Pictures are a great way to communicate, and advertise the event, but pictures can also get in the way of information that someone needs to know, such as:
Where is MomoCon?
When is MomoCon?
How much does it cost?
How do I register?
What celebrity guests will be at MomoCon?
What else is there to do at MomoCon?
as well as more granular questions like:
Where to park?
How to book a hotel room?
What hours on what days is X event happening?
For this reason we decided to put together a lot of the important information on one page:
The problem is our website is too cluttered, and the more information we add the more unprofessional we look. It also becomes a usability issue of people finding answers to the specific question they are looking for. We get many e-mails a month asking us basic information such as when is the convention, even though the date is on every page, but they somehow found the contact form first.
We need to de-clutter, and class up our website. We have a lot of information to give people, but only a small handful needs it at any given time.
Clean, clear, and visual with ease of finding the information users need is the goal with this design.
