With insights from my research in mind, I sketched initial designs of the dragon character. I explored different shapes, sizes, and features, experimenting with various poses and expressions to convey its personality and role in the story. I wanted the tone and style of the children's character dragon to be friendly, subtle, it was hard to conceptualize a friendly, serious yet cool looking dragon that would captivate young readers' imaginations. With the overall design and color scheme in place, I focused on adding details and personality to the dragon character.")
