The project was supposed to be based on the open-source platform Lichess in terms of backend development yet stand out from the design perspective. We needed to create individual branding and visuals, design and improve the game itself and its launch mechanics, the player profile, and other crucial elements. In addition to a mobile-friendly website, we were also tasked with creating a mobile app with a limited number of functions.
So far, there are about 100 users online at a time, but Chess.pro is planning a bunch of activities to draw in more players. The team behind the product dreams big and aims to compete with chess.com.")

We got a request for a SaaS platform redesign, but we quickly figured out that Neon Panel does not need a significant design project. The developers were looking for instructions to adapt their product to the design, and drawing all the pages would not make their lives easier. To save our client’s time and budget, we designed a few key pages and presented our design concept.
The team at Neon Panel received an extensive style guide with all elements and system statuses, along with a detailed changelog to ensure a quick and trouble-free product update. The redesigned web app was successfully tested by early adopters and is ready to launch. We keep supporting Neon Panel on a permanent basis.")

Most importantly, it failed to showcase game art, the Studio’s strongest skill and its key selling point.
We presented a few design mood boards. Our client opted for bright colors, doodles, and animated handwritten elements along with large and classic typography. We also aimed to create a minimalistic and intuitive website structure. We decided to move forward with bright accent green as it’s catchy and contrasts well with any art piece as a green background in the movies. We also took graphic lines and handwritten font from the Room 8 Studio logo to highlight words and titles.")
